The outgoing project spectrum postcard

Now Carol has actually received it I can post some piccies of the postcard!

The front can look like this:

But also like this!

The arch on the front is a glitter shaker with an Easter chicken behind! And the back looks like this:

Roll on next month!

In knitting news I have finished the fiance's socks (and while he is still my fiance - hee hee not for much longer) but the BF took the camera away over the Easter weekend to visit his family so no piccies for now. Unfortunately the yarn pattern suddenly skipped a bit so the feet on the socks don't match but nevermind. After the Socka yarn I'm not the biggest fan of Opal as it seemed very splitty, it had a knot in it so I had to start all over again and then the pattern smuged. Full details to follow in due course. I am of course preparing for a big day in the near future so that is taking up more than a little bit of my time. Again I promise pictures after the event!

Project Spectrum Postcards - the pictures!

As promised here are the pictures of my so beautiful postcard from Carol - it is a little bit of Texas come to England:

How cool is that! And here is the back!

My postcard is now finished and I suspect it will be my creative yellow and orange article for the month as the wedding takes up so much of my time now. All I will reveal at this stage is that it is inspired by this gentleman:

His name is Cheer-up! The plot thickens........

Project Spectrum Postcard

Well I had a wonderful surprise this morning - my Project Spectrum Postcard arrived! Hurray. I would post a picture but I'm at a friends house and don't have the camera. Piccies will be posted in due course.

My swap is the very talented Carol at Knitted Kitty and my postcard has a picture of a cow and a picture of Texas as that is where she hails from. My postcard for this month is still a work in progress but I will post a picture AFTER I have sent it to Carol (so as not to spoil the suprise)!

I haven't made much progress with the knitting recently as the wedding is rapidly approaching and my time is taken up having nightmares about being too fat for my wedding dress! That of course and making sure that my boss can cope with my caseload while I disappear for a couple of weeks - oh well bribery and corruption with wedding cake will follow. Hmm wedding cake .... yummy!

Missing in Action

No I have not faded from the face of the earth, nor am I on my honeymoon - yet!

Instead I have had a manically busy couple of weeks rounded off by a day trip to Perth (Scotland not Australia). Lots of late nights and the nights I have been home I've just wanted to flop so not much knitting at the moment either.

However, I do have my Project Spectrum picture of the month so here it is:

Having thought that I had surprisingly little in my stash that wasorange and yellow it turns out that I actually have quite a lot. The pinky orange is terracotta Rowan 4ply which I ordered when the place I was trying to get fandango from didn't have anything else. The yellow and orange are left over from fairisle ducks on a baby cardigan and the multi stripe is for a pair of jaywalkers!

Happy Knitting and Happy Weekend!
